For the application process, you will need to fill out several forms and provide some information that is needed in student loan application. The lender will then review your application and will give out the confirmation if your student loan is approved or not. If your student loan is approved, the lender will also specify the amount that you can secure for your college education. After a while, the amount will be released in your bank account.

Of course, there are certain requirements you must have in order to be eligible to apply for student loan online. The following are some of the general requirements of applying for student loans online.

1. You should be accepted in an enrollment or enrolled in a certificate or degree. For parent borrowers, your child must first meet the mentioned requirement before you can make a loan.

2. You must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. It is also possible if you have completed the high school education at home that is considered as private school or home school by the state law.

3. Your citizenship must first be eligible to make such a loan. This only means that you have to either be eligible non-US citizen or a US citizen.

4. You must not have be in any federal student loan program.
